Allyson Thoms

Allyson brings a lifelong interest in homes coupled with the creativity of a photographer to her sales associate position. Her diverse background includes being an elementary school teacher in Madison and Chatham and a resourceful entrepreneur who owns a photography business. She blends these professional experiences in her real estate career by providing buyers and sellers with service that's caring, compassionate and understanding.

"I have always been attracted to real estate," Allyson said. "As a freelance photographer I am fascinated by architecture, structure and homes. I am a people person and love working in situations that are emotional. Similar to my photography business, in real estate you encounter personal connections and new beginnings."

A graduate of Muhlenberg College, Allyson has a master's degree in special education from Wagner College and a digital photography certification from Cornell University. She lives in Bernardsville with her husband and four children. Originally from Bernardsville, Allyson is a Somerset Hills native who is well versed in the area's housing market, recreation, commuting options, price ranges and school districts. As a busy sports family, the Thoms enjoy lacrosse, soccer, snow skiing in Stratton, Vermont and spending time at the Jersey Shore. She is a member of Roxiticus Golf Club and Stratton Mountain Club.

Giving back to the community is important to Allyson who has served on the Somerset Hills School District's Home-School Association for numerous years. She was involved with the Team Campbell Fundraiser along with St Jude Children's Hospital and ran the New York City Marathon in 2015 for Alex's Lemonade Stand to raise money for childhood cancer.

Joining the Far Hills Office was an easy decision for Allyson, she recalled. "Growing up in this area I actually always envisioned being with Turpin over any other agency. In my eyes it was always superior to the rest."
